As someone who has had to have personal therapy while training to be a counsellor, I know that cost can sometimes be an issue for some students. That is why I offer a reduced rate for student counsellors.
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor and Accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP. When I did my course, the compulsory amount of personal therapy hours was only 10. I had the 10 hours of therapy and benefited so much that I actually ended up having many more!
Counselling training can be really fun but can also come with many challenges. As you know, a counselling course is a course like no other. You get to learn so much about yourself, especially in personal development group! This can bring up so much for you, and counselling can be a great way to explore these issues and feelings.
